CCPIT Beijing signs letter of intent with Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry and French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in China on establishment of Sino-French enterprise saloon
On 26 November 2011, President XIONG Jiuling, on behalf of CCPIT Beijing, attended the year- end evening for the Sino-French enterprise circle held by French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in China (CCIFC) and signed a letter of intent with Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIP) and CCIFC on establishment of Sino-French enterprise saloon.
President XIONG first thanked CCIFC for inviting her to attend the year-end evening and then engaged in friendly talks with French ambassador to China Bermann, and president of CCIP Mr.Pierre-Antoine GAILLY and president of CCIFC Mrs. Annick de Bentzmann . XIONG expressed her desire of building a platform for deeper co-operation between Chinese and French enterprises. She said the event was not only a gathering for the enterprise circle, but more of a platform for enhancing understanding and affections between enterprises of the two countries.
The letter of intent, which was signed at the witness of Mr. SONG Yongfu, director of Department of European Affairs, Ministry of Commerce of China, aims to promote exchanges and co-operation on economic trade between enterprises of the two countries. According to the letter, the three parties are to exert their advantages in resources to facilitate communication and experience sharing between enterprises of the two countries. In the subsequent address delivered by President XIONG, she noted that enterprise saloon will play a positive role in co-operation between enterprises of China and France and the signing of letter of intent will lay a co-operative foundation for staging of relevant saloon activities. She believed that bilateral economic co-operation between China and France will go more effective.
This is the first time that CCPIT Beijing signs a specific multi-party co-operative agreement, which also signifies a more practical, more thorough co-operation between CCPIT Beijing and CCIP and CCIFC.
CCIP is a friendly chamber of CCPIT Beijing; and both are members of C-5 meeting, having enjoyed close co-operations in the past. CCIFC had a better understanding of CCPIT Beijing through the 2011 Beijing International Friendly Chamber Assembly. CCIFC is home to 1,200 French enterprises in China and provides consultation and training services for French companies.
