On Dec.23, 2011, CCPIT Beijing Vice-Chairman NI Yuegang met with HKCICA Vice-Chairman CEN Shihui and the two sides conducted in-depth communication on HKCICA’s plan of setting office in Beijing.
Mr. NI expressed that Hong Kong owns active SMEs, and is advantageous in service, finance and tourism industries. CCPIT Beijing hopes to take CHITEC, ICCIE and Beijing International Conference of Friendly Chambers of Commerce as a platform to enhance exchange and cooperation with HKCICA. HKCICA setting office in Beijing will help to promote the economic cooperation between Hong Kong and Beijing, and the economic connection between Hong Kong and the North China area will also be enhanced as CCPIT Beijing strengths its connection with members of trade promotion system in Bohai-rim area.
Mr. NI also expressed thanks to HKCICA for its participation in the 2011 Beijing International Conference of Friendly Chambers of Commerce and hopes to continue to enhance cooperation between trade promotion organizations in Beijing and Hong Kong.
HKCICA Vice-Chairman CEN Shihui introduced HKCICA, pointing out that the Association aims to help the member units achieve common benefits, promote mutual understanding and sense of social responsibilities so as to achieve win-win development. After 10 years of development, the Association has owned over 4000 member units, most of which are SMEs. He also introduced the 2011 International Investment and Cooperation Summit Forum hosted by the Association. Over 700 people including government officials, leaders in industry and commerce and scholars from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan attended the event and discussed subjects on cooperation between different industries, investment in industry transfer, scientific research and market mechanism construction, etc. The Forum will also be held in Hong Kong in 2012.
