The 6th ICCIE work meeting held in Anhui
During 22 and 26 October 2011, the ICCIE organizing committee held a meeting that were participated by more than 20 delegates from 13 provinces, regions and municipalities responsible for sending their intended groups to the 6th ICCIE.
The meeting was held in Hefei, capital city of Anhui Province. HAN Jun, president of CCPIT Anhui, addressed the meeting and gave a detailed introduction on Anhui's preparation for participation of the 6th ICCIE and also on Anhui's geographical environment, regional advantage and the status quo of cultural and creative industry development in the province.
The 6th ICCIE tries to initiate a breakthrough in the following aspects in its organization: 1) uplift the event's authoritativeness and attractiveness by assembling resources of central government institutions; 2) improve effectiveness of the event and promote cultural trade and secure more signature projects; 3) stick to a connotative development mode and uplifting scientific level and innovative content; 4) innovate running mechanism, uplifting professionalism and international level; and 5) make use of Beijing-the capital city's advantages, enhancing its service functions to other provinces, regions and municipalities.
Deputy director of Beijing Media and Communications Department Mr. ZHANG Miao introduced the status quo of cultural and creative industry development in Beijing in combination with the 6th ICCIE'S program. He stressed that the 6th ICCIE had a clear theme and focused on integration of culture and technology, scientific innovation and cultural innovation which was on track with Beijing's overall cultural and creative industry development. Beijing is advantaged in cultural heritage, educational resources, human capital. Combine hi-tech and traditional culture by means of digital technology, network technology for scientific innovation, cultural products are expected to have greater added value. In addition, Beijing is also committed to develop cultural and creative industry clusters to form an industry chain which will facilitate labor division and cooperation by establishing cultural and creative industry cluster union and setting up information sharing mechanism. Up to the present day, 30 city level cultural and creative industry clusters have been in place covering all districts and counties and the eight prioritized industries in Beijing. Beijing's cultural and creative industry is going towards trendy industrialization and cluster-oriented, featuring in high-end and national level brands.
