The fifth Bohai Rim Joint conference for Trade Promotion System was held in Shenyang, Liaoning province during Aug. 3 and 5. The department of CCPIT conference service attended the conference, as well as more than 80 leaders and heads from sub-councils at Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Liaoning, Shandong, Dalian, Qingdao, Shenyang, and Jinan city. ZHONG Jiquan, secretary of Communist Party of China in Liaoning province and Deputy Secretary-General, met with the deputies and delivered important remarks; CCPIT chairman of Liaoning sub-council ZHANG Guixin delivered the welcome remarks to the guests. The conference was presided over respectively by CCPIT vice-chairman of Beijing sub-council LIN Bin and CCPIT chairman of Liaoning sub-council ZHANG Xizhu.

 

A report entitled "The overall strategies of China's regional development in the 12th Five-Year Plan and the thought of Bohai Rim integration promotion" was delivered by CHEN Xuanqing, the inspector of Regional Department of China's National Development and Reform Commission, who also interpreted "the 12th Five-Year Plan" in detail, and provided some positive suggestions in accordance with practical situation. The vice-inspector of Liaoning Development and Reform Commission WANG Xiwen briefed on Liaoning's 12th Five-Year Plan.

 

During the conference, a discussion was held among sub-councils which focused on how the 12th Five-Year Plan could be used to help plan and organize large-scale economic and trade events, and how communication mechanism could be perfected with Bohai Rim Trade Promotion System jointly-established website. Meanwhile, deputies gave positive suggestions on making greater co-operative efforts and reached following agreements through friendly consultation. Firstly, take full advantages of the joint website to publicize the policies of provinces within Bohai Rim, as well as information of crucial economic and trade events and professional events of every sub-council in this region. Secondly, exert the core advantage in Secretariat Department, plan brand campaigns jointly, reinforce the practical cooperation in Bohai Rim Trade Promotion System. Thirdly, develop the regional cooperation and organization system, and intensify the cooperation in Bohai Rim Trade Promotion System. Social networking and inter visits among sub-councils are encouraged during the recess, for the purpose of supporting each other’s major mature events.

 

Vice minister of CCPIT Conference Service Department DU Zetian emphasized that the regional organization and cooperation requires advanced foresight, open-mindedess, strong desire, favorable mechanism, and practical motivation. To reach the close cooperation among Trade Promotion Systems at the range of Bohai and achieve the effectiveness of system, there are three tips that can be taken into consideration. First, establish and develop the cooperation and coordinate system with the System. Second, Trade Promotion Systems should exert the advantages around their key tasks; serve for the overall situation and make their voice heard. Third, strengthen communication and enhance cooperation; make joint effort to promote development, strengthening the communication among general council, sub-councils and other CCPIT divisions. CCPIT supports regional cooperation among Trade Promotion Systems, more communication between BOhai Rim trade promotion councils and establishment of a mature co-ordination mechanism.

 

The sixth Bohai Rim conference for Trade Promotion System is to be held in Shaanxi province.
