The “2011 China (Qinghai) International Expo of Moslem Food and Appliances”, hosted by Qinghai government, CCPIT, Shanxi government, Gansu government and Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region government, was successfully held during July 22^nd and July25^th  2011. Vice-Chairmen of the CPPCC National Committee LI Wuwei, Secretary of Qinghai Provincial CPC Committee and director of Qinghai People’s Congress QIANGWei, Deputy Secretary of Qinghai Provincial CPC Committee & Governor LUO Huining, CCPIT Chairman WAN Jifei, full-time member of the State Ethnic Affairs Commission LI Wenliang, China’s first ambassador to WTO SUN Zhenyu, and other provincial leadership from Hebei, Gansu provinces attended the opening ceremony; envoys of Benin, Bengal etc. to China, and Chairmen of Chambers and Associations of Iran, Iraq, UAE, Thailand were also invited and participated the opening ceremony. After CCPIT Chairman WAN Jifei and Deputy Secretary LUO Huining delivered a speech at the opening ceremony, the participants toured the expo.

 

The 2011 exposition was larger in scale and more abundant in exhibits, with 27,000 square meters’ total area, 106 foreign exhibitors from 12 countries and Taiwan participating the event. The overall number of traders and visitors at home and abroad exceeded 3,000.

 

CCPIT Beijing leadership attached importance to the Moslem food and appliances expo, touring the expo several times, and making it the top priority work every year. In this exposition, CCPIT Beijing arranged Beijing Xicheng District Development and Service Center and related enterprises to participate the expo for the purpose of advertising Beijing's cultural and food industries and launching promotion activities for Beijing Cultural and Creative Industry Expo. Moreover, CCPIT Beijing working group paid a visit to the exhibition stand of Turkey, Malaysia, Thailand, Iran, and Iraq. Friendly communication with Iran-China Chamber of Commerce, Malaysia Palm Oil Council, Hohhot Chamber of Commerce were also conducted.
