CCPIT and Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality Hold the Communication Forum
A communication forum was held by CCPIT and Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality on July 27th. During the forum, CCPIT Chairman XIONG Jiuling briefs on the general status of trade promotion to the heads of Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality; Director of Beijing Office for Foreign Affairs ZHAO Huimin addressed a speech; and CCPIT Vice-Chairman NI Yuegang delivered an introduction on CCPIT’s foreign affairs. 20 deputies, including the heads defined above, attended the forum.
CCPIT Chairman XIONG Jiuling addresses a warm welcome to the coming heads of Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality for their investigation and guidance, also expressed gratitude for their active support and assistance during China Beijing International High-Tech Expo, Cultural Relic Expo, and Beijing Conference of Mayor, International entrepreneurs and Consultants etc.. She points out that with the assistance and guidance of Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, concentrate on the core, the general situation, we have done amount of practical and efficient work, making contribution to constructing an international urban with Chinese characteristics and "Environment-friendly Beijing, Culture-enriched Beijing and Technology-empowered Beijing". CCPIT has entered into a close friendship with Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality through the long-term cooperation. We expected that, based on this investigation and study, Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality would offer assistance to us for precise positioning and orientation in the Beijing’s overall foreign affairs, to promote Beijing foreign trade, as well as the international economic and trade cooperation, and make contribution to Beijing’s economic development.
ZHAO Huimin, Director of Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, emphasized that according to the survey, they would get a better understanding of CCPIT’s work in all aspects. CCPIT has played a crucial practical role in Beijing society’s development, and set an excellent example for others. He expressed three points for the future work in both organizations. First, enhance the communication and cooperation among departments. He looked forward to more communication on foreign affairs between Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality and CCPIT, especially in foreign economy and trade. Second, broaden the range of cooperation jointly. In the first half year, the amount of export in Beijing recovered to the average level before the world crisis, having an increase of 4%, which indicates the significant role that Beijing is to play in foreign trade promotion. To serve for the Beijing economic development, more cooperation in variety of aspects between Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality and CCPIT is required, and more powerful the resultant force is, more effectiveness it will have. Third, establish an appropriate visit assignment. Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality is looking for an appropriate proportion in general visit assignment, regarding the character and the need of the work, to provide favourable opportunities for the communication and cooperation of Beijing international economy and trade.
