On July 7^th 2011, top executives from more than ten Beijing Mayor International Entrepreneurs Advisory Council (BIEC) members Bank of Montreal (BMO), ING, Veolia Environment, and Deutsche Bank for instance, came to Mentougou district for investigating and attended the communication conference upon Secretariat of Beijing Mayor and International Entrepreneurs Advisory Council’s invitation. Deputy Chief Executive of Mentougou District DI Yunfeng, deputy director of the Mentougou People's Congress TAN Jie, as well as the heads from the General Office, the Development and Reform Commission, Investment Promotion Bureau, and Tourism Administration of Mentougou Participated the symposium. CCPIT Beijing Deputy inspector LI Luxia participated this event.

 

The delegates paid a visit to Shilong Industrial development zone, getting a general idea of advanced technology and management of Beijing Double-Crane Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd., Beijing Jingdiao Co. Ltd., They also communicated main issues related to enterprises’ development in technical innovation, technical import and management with the principals.

 

Showing an immense interest in construction and planning in Mentougou, the delegates actively gave advice and suggestions on its construction regarding their unique development practices and related experience. Delegates from ABB, Electricite De France and other enterprises expressed their appreciation to Mentougou government for its effort in environment protection and culture inheritance,; they also proposed that according to the experience of investment in Europe, Mentougou government should devote more to maintaining unique characteristics than hunting for excessive output and high speed blindly. After hearing an introduction of Mentougou water applications’ construction, Veolia Environment, France expressed that they were willing to make use of their advanced technology and management experience, providing services in environment protection.

 

Having heard that Mentougou government is going to solicitate investment in Hong Kong, HKTDC delegate expressed the desire with relevant promotion activities in Hong Kong. Delegates from HSBC, Deutsche Bank, Nokia, Daimler, consulted the principals about enterprises entering into the development zone and issues about construction land. Furthermore, they gave positive proposals on Mentougou’s exploitation of natural and humanistic resources.

 

On behalf of the delegates, Governor of BMO, Beijing branch XING Gongjie delivered a gratitude message for the invitation and hospitality of Mentougou’s government. He noted that the visit helped council members understand better about Mentougou and had provided novel input for developing their business in Beijing.
