CCPIT Beijing Delegation Rounds off the Visit to Spain and France

At the invitation of Culture Department of Catalunya, Spain and Culture Division of Nice, France, the CCPIT Beijing delegation led by Deputy Chairman SHE Yungao, paid a visit to Spain and France from June 12~21, 2012, in order to build a liaison with local culture departments, to publicize the ICCIE and to deeply discuss and carry out bilateral cooperation matters.

The delegation respectively visited the Catalunya’s Culture Department and Nice’s Cuture Division, exchanged the experience and practice of promoting local culture, and conducted deep discussion in terms of establishing bilateral cooperation relationships, enhancing information liaison, jointly setting up an exchange platform and pushing forward mutual cultural and creative industries, etc. Mr. SHE introduced the development status of cultural and creative industry in Beijing, especially the 7th International Culture and Creative Industry Expo (ICCIE). He stated that the ICCIE, as an important platform for exchanges between Beijing and the world, since its establishment, has contributed a lot to advancing the Beijing’s opening up to the outside world and growth of cultural and creative industry, gained high attention and positive attendance. He hoped that Spanish and French cultural departments, culture and creative industry associations and enterprises can dispatch representatives to the ICCIE and start business in China.

Mr. Salas, in charge of international matters of the Culture Department of Catalunya expressed high interest in the ICCIE and took the initiative in attending the ICCIE. Mr. Giles, in charge of international matters of the Culture Division of Nice had ever worked in China with French ambassador to China for years. He stated that the CCPIT Beijing have actively been carrying out foreign exchanges, and the ICCIE has even built an effective cooperative and trading platform for enterprises home and abroad. He would like to set up a cooperation relationship with the CCPIT Beijing through the ICCIE, and hoped to enhance the mutual communications and exchanges of cultural and creative industries via various forms of exchange visits.
