丹•伊•邱,世界信息技术和服务联盟主席, 企业战略与转型多媒体发展公司副主席,2008年在吉隆坡举办的世界信息技术大会首席执行官。
世界信息技术和服务联盟是由世界各地的70个信息技术行业协会组成的。作为首席执行官,丹•伊•邱在2008年负责从战略到运营的世界信息技术大会所有领域的工作。在他的领导下,16届信息技术大会成为其30年历史上举办的最成功的大会。共有3133名注册代表及来自92个国家的42659位参观者。会上共有105位知名人士发表演讲,35国部长们出席会议。该大会也得到超过1100万美元的赞助,可以称得上是世界大会之最。

Chief Executive Officer, WCIT 2008 Sdn Bhd Vice President, Business Strategy and Transformation, Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC)
Dato’ Dan E Khoo is the newly elected Chairman of the World Information Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA), a consortium of 70 information technology (IT) industry associations from economies around the world.
He is also the Chief Executive Officer of WCIT 2008 Sdn Bhd, the company formed to organize WITSA’s 16th World Congress on Information Technology (WCIT 2008) in Kuala Lumpur on May 18-22, 2008.
As CEO, he was responsible for all areas of WCIT 2008, from strategic to operational. In this role, Khoo brought his entrepreneurial experience to turn WCIT 2008 into an event that was declared by WITSA as the best ever in its 30-year history, with more than 3,313 delegates registered and 42,659 expo visitors from 92 countries. 105 prominent personalities spoke and ICT Ministers from 35 countries were present during the event. WCIT 2008 also raised over US$11 million in sponsorships, the most in the history of the World Congress.
He has travelled around the world and has had significant interactions with policy makers, national and regional ICT associations, senior business leaders, as well as civil society participants to create a platform that can showcase ICT’s power to enable, empower and enrich.
He has also spoken widely in national and international events, including the 10th World Congress on Information Technology (WCIT 1996) in Bilbao, Spain.
He is also the Vice President of Business Strategy and Transformation of Multimedia Development Corporation Sdn Bhd (MDeC), the body responsible for the development of Malaysia’s Multimedia Super Corridor.
He brings with him more than 20 years of experience in the Information Technology and media industries. Throughout this time, he has played leading roles in organisations that are a unique blend of content, media and technology.
Khoo continues to play an active role in promoting Information Technology and the Internet in Malaysia and around the region, holding, and having held, many leadership, advisory and supporting roles in industry and trade associations, government agencies, and policy development bodies.
He has spent more than 15 years volunteering his services in ICT Associations, having held leadership positions in both national and regional ICT bodies. He was Chairman of the Association of the Computer Industry Malaysia (PIKOM) from 1995 to 1997 and continues to serve as an Adviser and a member of the association’s Board of Trustees.
In the regional arena, Khoo was President of the Southeast Asia Information Technology Organisation (SITO) from 1996 to 1998.
He was also a Director of ASOCIO (Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organization) from 1995 to 1997. Khoo was conferred the “Darjah Setia Pangkuan Negeri (DSPN) by the Governor of Penang in July, 2008.
