美国纽约华人总商会创立于1991年，其会员逐渐全面参与美国主流社会的政治、经济、文化等各个层面。改善华裔刻板形象、带动华裔顺利融入美国社会是总商会长年努力奋斗的目标。以“团结华商，互助互利，发展经济，共保权益”为宗旨，吸引了大批来自不同行业的经营者和专业人士。

作为一个商业团体，总商会不仅为商界人士提供服务，同时也赞助和参与各种有利社区繁荣、发展的社会公益活动。此外，随着中国在世界经济地位的日益重要，加强中美之间的贸易合作与信息交流成为发展经济的重要手段。总商会架起为会员开拓中国市场和商机的桥梁。

New York Chinese Business Association was founded in 1991, its members gradually to participate fully in the mainstream of American society at all levels of the political,economic, and cultural.

The long term objective of association is to improve ethnic Chinese stereotypes and smooth integration successfully into American society in recent years. “"Chinese entrepreneurs of solidarity, mutual benefit, economic development, insurable interest" for the purpose of attracting a large number of operators and professionals from different industries.

As a business organization, the association is not only provide services for the business community, but also sponsor and participate in a variety of beneficial community prosperity and development of social welfare activities.

In addition, as China is increasingly important status in the world economy in those years, to strengthen trade cooperation and information exchange between China and the United States to become an important means of economic development. New York Chinese Business Association sets up the bridge to explore the Chinese market and business opportunities for its members.
