As an important part of Beijing Cultural & Creative Industry Expo, 2013 Beijing China Art International Fair will be held from 15 to 18 November. Compared with the previous Fairs, the current Fair will mainly promote high-end cultural relics. The bonded area set up for the first time will attract more overseas precious collections to exhibit in Beijing.
Since the 1st Beijing China Art International Fair was held in 2007, the Fair has already become brand activities in the cultural relic circle in China. In order to fully present precious cultural relics around the world, the Art International Fair will further expand the exhibiting proportion of overseas antique dealers, invite overseas exhibitors from the United States, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan and other countries, and specially set up an overseas antique exhibition area on the basis of rich resources accumulated in the previous Art International Fairs. The current Art International Fair will also introduce auctions into the exhibition for the first time. While visiting a lot of treasured objects, the audience can also learn about the auction form of the cultural relic artworks on the spot.
Yu Ping, deputy director general of Beijing Cultural Relics Bureau, said, "It not only covers ancient or so-called high-end artworks, but also covers the exhibition and presentation of some contemporary outstanding artists and outstanding works. It can be said that the categories of the whole big market of artworks are concentrated on our brands of the Fair relatively."
The previews of famous cultural relic auction companies at home and abroad will also be unveiled in the Art International Fair. Poly, Guardian, Council and other famous auction companies will exhibit in the main venue. Meanwhile, the Capital Museum will also provide exhibitions for these high-end overseas cultural relics. On November 8, the "Buddha Rhyme – Statue Art Pristine Exhibition" based on Buddha Statues will be kicked off. The exhibits are all high-end cultural relics collected in the collecting circle at home and abroad.
