Focusing on Cultural & Creative Industry Expo: Media Corridor of "Attracting Investors with Sound Infrastructure" Has Achieved Leapfrog Development in Four Years
Nov 11, 2013 11:24:26 AM
The 8th China (Beijing) International Cultural & Creative Industry Expo, which takes "promoting cultural trade, and accelerating economic upgrade" as the theme, will be held from next Wednesday to next Sunday. After having been carefully developed for eight years, Beijing Cultural & Creative Industry Expo has become a powerful lever for promoting the development of cultural industry in Beijing.
In the 4th Beijing Cultural & Creative Industry Expo held in 2009, Chaoyang District proposed the space planning of developing Beijing CBD Dingfuzhuang international media industry corridor, proposing to focus on attracting the settlement of media companies in the manner of reconstruction, new construction and upgrading and transformation of old and worn plants of the low-end industry.
Feng Chunqiu, director of Chaoyang District Cultural & Creative Industry Development Center, said, "It can be said that in this industrial belt, the industry chain with relatively complete personnel training, product research and development, exhibition and trade, and production and broadcasting should have been formed here."
In more than four years, the media corridor has achieved leapfrog development. Beijing Cultural & Creative Industry Expo held this year has already been the 8th Expo. In the same interview location, Feng Chunqiu, director of Chaoyang District Cultural & Creative Industry Development Center, is more confident in the face of such a blueprint.
Feng Chunqiu, director of Chaoyang District Cultural & Creative Industry Development Center, said, "There were only 30 key bases originally. But there are 6 national-level cultural industry parks and 47 cultural and creative bases gathering here today."
Reporter said, "It is very dense now."
Feng Chunqiu, director of Chaoyang District Cultural & Creative Industry Development Center, said, "An overall spatial pattern of the cultural industry has been now formed by a dot, a line and a plane from the original dot."
Today, CBD Dingfuzhuang international media industry corridor has gathered 16,000 media cultural and creative companies from the originally less than 10,000 companies.
It is expected that the cultural and creative revenues of 160 billion Yuan can be achieved this year, which is 2.3 times of that in 2009. This is Huitong Times Creative and Cultural Development New Zone built by Chaoyang district in the old industrial plants. It is difficult to imagine that more than 10 industrial enterprises, such as Dabao Daily Chemical Products Factory, Yamei Daily Chemical Products Factory, Beijing Auto Parts Factory, etc., once gathered here.
Today, it can become a sufficiently cohesive media cultural and creative area. In the creative area, there are still many prints of the large industrial era, displaying those unforgettable years.
Zhang Huailin, relevant responsible person of Beijing industrial companies, said, "I miss and memorize the scene in full swing and the brilliant times of enterprises at that time very much."
However, with the gradual deepening of the market economy and the change of Beijing urban development orientation, the previous rumbling sound of machines is no longer sonorous. It has become an eastward area of Chaoyang media corridor. The industrial development orientation has changed. The previous nailing machine tools have been transformed into creative symbols that are difficult to be copied.
Deng Yaoming who is a reporter of Beijing TV station said, "When the disused machines are reused cleverly, the shined vitality makes it difficult for you to dislike them. And precisely because of these creative elements and creative atmospheres, the enthusiasm and vitality of increasing creative talents are stimulated."
Huitong Times has a factory area of 270,000 square meters in total. There are only 20,000 square meters of area delivered in the transformation of the first phase. It has attracted 6 media-related companies to sign or to be settled, including media giants with national influence, such as Hehe Shanghai Film Company, Chenkun Studio, etc.
Chen Meixiu, who is a representative of companies settled in the park and a general manager of China Radio International Global Go, said, "We will also collect the settlement of some related enterprises. Some media advertisers gather in the Fourth East (Ring Road) and the Fifth East (Ring Road), so this is one of the important reasons why we choose this park. "
Zhang Yabin, who is a responsible person of the new district of Huitong Times Square, said, "One reason is that the environment meets their individuation demands, and another more important reason is that the companies settled in the park are all their associated upstream and downstream companies. They can be communicated with each other in business and can also share resources at the same time."
Currently, Beijing National Advertisement Industry Park, Copyright Trade Base, Music Cultural Industry Base, Animation Industry Base and other national-level industrial bases, such as a number of cultural and creative industry bases and professional buildings, have gathered in the media corridor region.
It is expected that the media corridor will achieve annual revenues of the cultural and creative industries in excess of 200 billion Yuan by 2015.
