Beijing Focusing on Culture Expo: Exhibiting Robot with 18 Martial Arts
Nov 30, 2013 3:49:34 PM
With continuous scientific development, some robots with powerful functions and extraordinary competence which could only appear in films and television programs in the past, are gradually coming into our real life. Some of them are unveiled in the 8th Beijing Culture Expo. Let’s go and have a look.
This is a robot moving with rocking. Look, he is waving to us and of course you could shake hands with him. He is able to imitate what we do.
Sun Xiaoying, a student of Beijing University of Technology : “ The robot could move with me when a signal is sent to the robot from wireless sending module on the (data) acquisition clothes I am wearing.”
Look at this, another pretty tricky stuff. It is a robot specialized in housekeeping. It will perform what you ask him to do.
Operator: “Innovation.”
Robot: “Do you want to take the “innovation” zip-top can? ”
Operator: “Yes.”
As a matter of fact, the robot is provided with laser radar acquisition, voice recognition and interaction, target following, object identification and catching technique.
Zhang Qizhi, professor of Beijing Information Science Technology University, : “The robot will provide us with a map of the environment after it walks around here. With this map, the robot will know where it is and will able to recognize whatever you direct him to take. Once directed, it will take it (target object) and bring it to the specified location.”
The robots are given with 18 martial arts with integration of technology with innovation. Take this rescue robot transformer for example, it can sense temperature, detect gas, transmit data and carry small goods in complex natural disaster environment with integrated technology. You know what? It is originated from 3D printer.
Zhao Xu, engineer of Beijing Information Science Technology University, : “If it is hit on its joint in a second disaster, it can disconnect freely just like an earthworm. Look at this joint in front of me. So that it can proceed with rescue.”
Liu Yajia, Director of China College Creativity Headquarter: “I wanna match the innovation created by college students with enterprises and some social forces, so that enterprises will discover talented students and works they want as well. To build this place as the backyard of enterprising innovation research and development.”
