Beijing Pipilu and Luxixi Will Be Shot As a TV Play

The Pipilu and Luxixi are childhood legends in the heart of several generations of Chinese people in the childhood. As said in the message from the 8th Beijing Cultural & Creative Industry Expo today, the TV play about Pipilu and Luxixi will be about to be shot.
The first part of Pipilu and Luxixi which will be about to be shot has 30 episodes in total, each lasting 45 minutes. It is expected to be broadcast in CCTV1 during the winter of 2014. The plot will be adapted with 30 stories selected from original novels. While telling about various adventures of Pipilu and Luxixi, it explores the way to get along between parents, teachers and children and between children, trying to convey the concept of love, equality and trust.
Chen Lei, producer of the TV play about Pipilu and Luxixi, said, "Children have fewer and fewer brothers and sisters now. This play will allow children to learn how to deal with their peers, and how to communicate with this society."
Based on the original work, children's safety knowledge will also be integrated into the plot.
Zheng Yaqi, producer of the TV play about Pipilu and Luxixi, said, "We have designed the father of Pipilu as a parent who has phobias when his child goes out. He is worried about that his child will encounter a variety of dangers when going out. Therefore, he instills safety knowledge into Pipilu."
It is understood that Mama Lu Yan who is the main actress is starred by the moderator Fang Qiong. Dad Pi Wei is starred by actor Li Kunlin. The actress of the grandmother is actress Li Wenlin. However, the little actors playing Pipilu and Luxixi are still in the selection stage. Two children at the age from 7 to 10 years will be selected from the whole country.
Zheng Yaqi, producer of the TV play about Pipilu and Luxixi, said, "It is actually quite difficult for children to play the characters of others. They all play by themselves. It is difficult to find Luxixi. And it is also not easy to find Pipilu. Pipilu is actually very brave, has a sense of justice, likes to help others and does not follow the usual way. He thinks that academic performance is not important, but he thinks that he can prove his ability in other ways. Luxixi is a good student, and she always helps her elder brother and stops him from getting into trouble."
