This year’s 15th China Beijing International High-Tech Expo (CHITEC), in Beijing, May 22-27, had the theme “Integrating creation and strengthening the economy”, and the Shanxi delegation was on hand with its latest developments.

On display were 78 construction projects in the province that involve international scientific and technological cooperation and high-tech achievements in the fields of energy, chemicals, equipment manufacturing, electronic information, new materials, energy saving, environmental protection, biological medicines, and modern agriculture.

Shanxi also implemented its “Going out” strategy during the event to promote the commercialization, industrialization, and internationalization of its important scientific and technological achievements of. It is also active with its “Inviting in” strategy to attract domestic and foreign resources for innovation, look for partners in certain projects, and introduce key technologies and talented personnel for faster development.

This year’s CHITEC put emphasis on the optimal use of, and upgrade of, both emerging and traditional industries, and get innovative ways to display its technology, ideas, capital, information, and talent for greater exchanges and connections.

There were many activities associated with the event, including keynote speeches, various exhibitions, and promotion events, and forums.
