日本电气株式会社(以下简称NEC)成立于1899年，总部位于日本东京的全球500强企业之一。主要从事IT服务、平台业务、运营商网络、社会基础设施。NEC在全球140多个国家和地区开展业务，拥有员工近10万人，集团下属公司总数232家（2015年3月时点）。

NEC在中国的业务始于1972年中日关系正常化，在1991年组建日电首钢有限公司，为北京半导体产业发展奠定了基础。同期成立NEC中国研究院等研发公司，为北京市自主研发创新作出了巨大贡献。目前在华公司总数36家，在京共6家关联企业，涉足交换机、半导体、光通信、计算机、IT解决方案、投影机显示器产品、软件开发等领域，向以北京为中心的京津冀地区提供IT服务解决方案。连续荣获“十大在华全球服务商”、“北京发展区域经济突出贡献奖” 、“北京市诚信企业”、“北京跨国公司地区总部”等荣誉称号。

NEC Corporation was founded in1899. As a Global Fortune 500 company, its head office is in Tokyo, Japan.
