中国北京国际科技产业博览会（简称“科博会”）是经国务院批准，由科技部、国家知识产权局、中国贸促会和北京市人民政府共同主办的大型国家级国际科技交流合作盛会。

China Beijing International High-Tech Expo (CHITEC) is a major national hi-tech expo held in Beijing. It is an event approved by China’s State Council, sponsored by China’s Ministry of Science and Technology, China National Intellectual Property Administration, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and the municipal government of Beijing.

科博会创办于1998年，当时定名为“中国北京高新技术产业国际周”，从2002年第五届起正式更名为中国北京国际科技产业博览会，历经初步探索（1-3届）、快速成长（4-8届）、稳步发展（9-15届）和创新引领（16届至今）四个时期，逐步打造成集综合活动、展览展示、推介交易、论坛会议、网上展示推介“五位一体”的活动架构，成为我国科技产业发展思想的策源地、创新技术与产品的首秀场和权威政策信息的首发地，在我国科技产业从引进来、自立自强到走出去的历史进程中，留下了浓墨重彩的一笔。胡锦涛、李鹏、朱镕基、温家宝、王岐山等党和国家领导人曾多次亲临展会。德国前总理施密特、韩国前总理李寿成、泰国副总理德·汶隆，诺贝尔奖获得者海瑞·克鲁图、埃里克·马斯金、爱德华·普雷斯科特、罗伯特·蒙代尔等都出席过科博会活动。

据不完全统计，前23届科博会先后有100多个国家和地区1179个境外代表团参加，参展中外机构和企业38504家，观众累计达到571万人次，举办论坛、推介交易1084场次，签署合同、协议、意向5659个，总金额10583.26亿元人民币，为展示国际科技创新中心建设成果、促进政产学研用协同创新、深化国际产能合作提供了重要平台。

根据总体工作部署，第24届科博会作为2021中关村论坛的展览板块，名称为中关村论坛展览（科博会），并首次同期同地举办，实现论展一体，共同打造成为具有全球影响力的科技创新交流合作与科技成果发布、展示、交易平台。

中关村论坛展览（科博会）将于2021年9月24日至28日在北京市海淀公园路西侧临时展馆举办，展期5天，展览面积约1.5万平方米，设置综合馆、医药健康馆、科技冬奥馆、碳中和馆、省区市科技创新成果馆。展览会将聚焦中关村论坛“智慧·健康·碳中和”主题，线上线下打造面向全球、面向中小微初创企业、链接资本市场的科技精品展，同期还将举办科技合作项目集中签约仪式和10场推介交易会。届时，相关部委领导、北京市领导、各省区市代表团、专家学者、企业家、投资人、国际组织及顶级学术机构代表将参加中关村论坛并巡展。

Founded in 1998 as “China Beijing High-Tech Industry International Week”, it was officially renamed in its fifth session in 2002 as “China Beijing International High-Tech Expo”. It has gone through four periods─initial exploration (1^st-3^rd sessions), rapid growth (4^th-8^th sessions), steady development (9^th-15^th sessions) and innovated development (16^th session till now). Since then, it has gradually become a five-in-one framework, integrating comprehensive activities, exhibition, marketing and trading, forums and conferences, and on-line exhibition and marketing. It has become an origin of ideas for China’s technology industry, the first showground for innovative technologies and products, and the authoritative platform to release new policies. It has played a prominent role in the journey of China’s technology industry from introduction, self-reliance to go-global. Hu Jintao, Li Peng, Zhu Rongji, Wen Jiabao, Wang Qishan and many other Chinese leaders attended the exhibition. Former German Chancellor Helmut Schmidt, former Republic of Korea Prime Minister Lee Soo Sung, Thai Deputy Prime Minister Dej Boonlong, as well as Nobel Laureates Harry Kroto, Eric Maskin, Edward Prescott and Robert Mundell also attended CHITEC events.

According to statistics available, the first 23 session of CHITEC saw the participation of 1,179 foreign delegations from more than 100 countries and regions, 38,504 Chinese and foreign agencies and enterprises for exhibition, and 5.71 million visitors. 1,084 forums and marketing events were held. 5,659 contracts, agreements and letters of intent signed, with a total value of 105.8326 billion RMB. This indicates CHITEC has become a major platform to showcase Beijing’s efforts to build an international science and technology innovation center, promote the collaborative innovation and application between government, industry and academia, and deepen the international industrial cooperation.

In line with the overall work plan, the 24^th CHITEC as the exhibition component of the 2021 ZGC Forum, named Exhibition of ZGC Forum - China Beijing International High-Tech Expo, and for the first time held in the same place at the same time with ZGC Forum, in order to build a global influential platform for exchanges and cooperation on science and technology innovation and for the release, display, trading of scientific and technological outcomes.

Exhibition of ZGC Forum - China Beijing International High-Tech Expo will be held from September 24 to 28, 2021 in the ad hoc exhibition halls on the west side of Haidian Park Road in Beijing. The 5-day exhibition, covering about 15,000 square meters, will set up Comprehensive Hall, Healthcare and Medicine Hall, Hall of Science and Technology for Winter Olympics, Carbon Neutrality Hall and Hall of Latest Technological Achievements of Provincial Regions. Focused on the ZGC Forum’s theme of “intelligence, health, carbon neutrality”, this globally-oriented and premium exhibition will be held both on-line and on-site for micro, small, medium-sized and start-up businesses and for linking with the capital market. At the same time, a signing ceremony for science and technology cooperation projects and 10 marketing events will also be held. Senior officials from the Chinese central government departments and Beijing municipality as well as provincial Chinese delegations, experts, scholars, entrepreneurs, investors, representatives from international organizations and top academic institutions will attend the ZGC Forum and visit the exhibition.
